Hello and welcome!
I'm Alicia Steens, A mum, and the creator of Benny & Friends.
The journey of Benny began while I was studying at university and expecting my daughter. During that time, I started writing Book One, inspired by my love of nature, animals and creating magical stories for children.
As university became my priority, I had to put Benny's adventure on hold. But after welcoming my daughter into the world, I returned to the story with fresh determination, finished the book and proudly published Benny and the Lost Picnic Basket.
Seeing the joy the story brought to my daughter and other young readers inspired me to dream even bigger. What began as a single book has grown into the Benny & Friends world, a growing children's book series and family brand filled with magical adventures, story times, events, activities and exciting plans for the future.
My mission is simple: to inspire kindness, friendship, courage and a love of reading in children, one adventure at a time.
